Psychic reading

A psychic reading is the interpretation of a situation and of what it suggests. It is practised with or without a support, in a consulting room, by telephone or by video.
The tools used
Cards, by far the most common — see tarot.
The pendulum, on its own or over a lettered board.
The crystal ball and the black mirror, tools of scrying.
No support at all: some practitioners work through conversation alone, sometimes holding an object belonging to the client.
How a session unfolds
Expect 30 to 60 minutes. The practitioner first asks what brings you, then proceeds to the reading, and leaves the last third to questions.
Fees in Switzerland
In a consulting room, expect CHF 80 to 200 for an hour. Practitioners in Zurich and Geneva sit at the upper end.
By telephone, per-minute billing is common: CHF 2 to 5 depending on the platform and the practitioner’s profile.
Chana’s tip: ask for the fee AND the duration before booking. Two sessions at CHF 150 are not the same thing if one runs thirty minutes and the other an hour and a quarter — and that gap is common.
The language question
Switzerland has four national languages, none of which is English. Practitioners who work in English are concentrated in the international centres — Zurich, Geneva, Zug, Basel — and video consultations have made distance largely irrelevant.
